Fostering New Relationships between Believing and Non-believing Musicians
At a Media Forum in Tanzania, we prayed that the gap would be bridged between two typically disparate groups—church people and traditional musicians.
One such group attended and performed at the event, even though they did not believe in Jesus and usually avoided anything Christian. To everyone’s amazement, theyattended a local church the following Sunday!
Fortunately, the pastor had also attended the Forum and was there to receive them. Pastor Silas is now inspired to see traditional musicians saved by Jesus and see God glorified through their ethnic group’s traditional arts.
Musicians Touched the Heart of a Grieving Couple
“During a concert in Brittany, a man was very touched while I played the violin. The man had just lost his father, who was a violinist. Another musician with me showed God’s love to the man’s partner and explained to her that we are Christians. It was great to see that each of us played our part in this unexpected situation, and that it is truly God who is the best orchestra director!” (Jonathan, France, edited)
