“It was the first time I realized that painting could capture the Word of God, speak into people’s lives and give me the opportunity to share my faith.”

Janice T. (Alliance & Short-term team member)

Every day all around the globe, artists on mission are creating, cultivating, and contributing in their communities. As they seek to see their art used in the work the Lord is doing, we want to share their stories to encourage and inspire.
This blog is a place to read those stories, giving you a glimpse into how the Lord is using the arts around the world.

Last week, we saw how Jin was continuing to create in the midst of the pandemic. Today, we conclude our series with Jin, starting back at the beginning - with a recognition of calling and a challenge to consider yours. We are also sharing a special video put together by Jin's church (Island Evangelical Community Church) in which she shares her testimony.

Answering the Call

I was pursuing art and missions; God was pursuing me.  As they came together, I am no longer ‘split.’

He has been saying to me 'while you were thinking to do missions for ME, MY mission is for you to find yourself on this self-discovery journey. Then you can go and be the hope and healing you testify to the world.’

If the whole body of Christ is walking into our true identities and answering the call to be who we are created to be, how can the church not be a vibrant and attractive community of Jesus followers?

I am Jin.

I am an artist.

If you are too, His Kingdom needs your creativity, at such a time as this.

Embrace who you are.
