She painted banners with words and phrases focused on celebrating Easter. These included “Alleluia” and “Death is Defeated!” This was a new way to celebrate for her church, and she was unsure how people would react to the banners. However, Christine felt led to bring some color and creativity into the service for Easter, and she was thrilled with how the Holy Spirit used this. A children’s choir sang a song featuring the word “alleluia” during the service, and they wound up standing directly beneath the “Alleluia” banner. Later, another group sang a song that mentioned death being defeated, and this group was directly beneath the “Death is defeated” banner. Christine commented, “And we never coordinated that, it was the Holy Spirit!” What a beautiful reminder of God’s faithfulness to use our obedience to Him, however small, to bring glory to His name and joy to His people. In Italy, one of our Alliance members, Christine, worked on a special project for her church for Easter.
