WE BELIEVE THAT ARTISTS

ought to be able to inspire God's beauty in every culture so that each person can see with their hearts that
JESUS LOVES THEM.

"We live in an age where the medium of outreach is media. Artists are now given a voice. And for the first time in decades, the arts have become relevant in the mission field again. However, we must be careful not to do what I refer to as “doorway art,” which is to decorate the doorway of the kingdom of God rather than to reflect the need of having a relationship with the God of all creation, with all its pain and struggle."

Daniel

"We will not have vibrant communities of Jesus followers amongst the least-reached peoples of the world if we do not also have authentic, indigenous, artistic expressions of biblical worship from them in their own heart language."

Frank Fortunato

ArtsLabyrinthPg1invite art experience shortEDITED

Are you a visual artist or musician looking for a unique opportunity? Our partners in Belgium are hard at work planning and preparing a traveling art exhibition using the early Christian motif of the labyrinth to feature both historic Flemish and contemporary artwork.

See the following:

We invite visual artists to collaborate with us in "The Art Experience Labyrinth: See the Lamb of God." Together we will tell the story—of creation; the fall; the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus; and the choices of humanity and their eternal implications. The story will be told through a selection of Flemish art (1400-1600) and contemporary works.
• We invite you to create an art piece that connects or responds to one of these paintings, or one of the subparts of this storyline.
• The artwork you submit must be portable and easily moved. The labyrinth exhibition will travel throughout the country for a season.

Application process: Submitted artwork and/or art idea proposals will be received now until September 30,2020. We ask for clear, high quality photos of the artwork to be sent via email as well as a written description of the work, along with size and medium. Please send your submissions to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

For musicians:

We’re looking for composers to create musical pieces inspired by the Ghent Altarpiece, and how the ancient biblical story, retold in this painting over 600 years ago, speaks to us today. These recorded pieces will set the atmosphere for the exhibition, played back through a sound installation that guides visitors through the labyrinth. We’re also looking for compositions for live performance outside the exhibition. These unique performances will interact with the themes of the Ghent Altarpiece and have the scope to incorporate other artistic disciplines such as dance. Lyrical content in these pieces will be welcomed.

God’s story transcends history, and we want to allude to that as we combine instrumental and compositional elements from different eras and cultures. No matter what genres you work in - whether EDM, hip hop, choral, orchestral, pop, flamenco, rock, avant-garde, sound collage, folk, metal, musical theatre, reggae, jazz - we’d especially love to work together. If you’re excited about collaboration between composers and musicians across genres and interested in the challenge of making something uniquely new, then we’d love for you to join us.

    Reunion in Hungary

At the end of May, a portion of the Inspiro staff met in Budapest, Hungary for a team reunion. Having not been together in person for over a year, the time for fellowship was most welcome. Our purpose for the week was two-fold – to spend time catching up as a team and to scout out places for the Incarnate students to see during their time in Budapest. The later half of this goal involved visiting places like Memento Park, the Hungarian House of Music, and the artistic village of Szentendre.

To Share the Good News: Recording Studio in Benin

Recently, two of our team members, Mat Carson and Daniel Lim, took a trip to the Republic of Benin (located in West Africa) to set up a recording studio in conjunction with Africa Sings. Africa Sings is a ministry that seeks to foster peace between Christians and Muslims throughout Africa. This was a short 3-day trip filled with set-up and teaching, but the Lord worked to encourage and equip all involved.
